Zambian musician Chester MorePower has reportedly made a special request to President Hakainde Hichilema — asking for an opportunity to perform at the President’s inauguration. According to Cosmas, Chester asked him to reach out to President Hichilema with a simple but interesting request: to find out whether he could be allowed to come and sing at the inauguration.
“Can I come sing at your inauguration?”
The request has already sparked reactions, with fans and members of the entertainment industry discussing whether Chester could make an appearance at the major national event. The development comes at a time when Chester and other creatives have remained at the centre of public discussion following their recent legal matter in Mongu.
While there has been no public response from President Hichilema or his office regarding the request, the story has created fresh conversation online. For now, all eyes will be on whether the message reaches the President — and perhaps more importantly, whether HH will say yes to Chester MorePower taking the stage at his inauguration.
