The U.S. Marshals Service arrested a Silver Spring father and daughter charged with the attempted murder of a relative who they were living with.
William Andrew Dunn, 54, and Brittany Elaine Dunn, 24, were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on Thursday in Rockville on charges including attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, the Montgomery County Police Department said in a release.
The police said that on June 4, the father and daughter pair stabbed the victim, who lived in the same home as him, in the upper chest area. The victim, a 67-year-old man, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue radio audio obtained by Bethesda Magazine, was hospitalized after the attack.
The victim told investigators that Mr. Dunn put him in a chokehold and that he saw that Ms. Dunn was wearing disposable gloves and holding a knife before briefly passing out. The victim then said that when he woke up, there was a knife in his neck, according to court documents cited by WUSA-TV.
The police did not name the victim, but he was identified to investigators as the brother of Mr. Dunn and the uncle of Ms. Dunn, according to Bethesda Magazine.
The victim owns the home the three were living in, and the suspects were living there for about three years prior to the alleged stabbing, according to court documents cited by WUSA-TV.
Both suspects are being held without bond, and both are due in court on July 10 for a preliminary hearing, according to court records.
