Solo Sae Steps Back From Music Following His Mother’s Passing. Solo Sae has asked fans, collaborators and colleagues to give him space after appearing to mourn the passing of his mother.
The Johannesburg-based artist shared a short message on Instagram informing those around him that he will be stepping away from his usual activities for the foreseeable future.
“To my supporters and my collaborators and/or colleagues: please don’t expect anything from me until further notice. Love,” he wrote.
The message came shortly after Solo Sae posted a photograph of a smiling young woman. The image was accompanied by the words “Bye for now mom” and a white dove emoji, serving as a personal tribute to his late mother.
While the rapper did not provide further details about her passing, the timing of the posts indicates that he is taking time away from music and public engagements as he deals with his loss.
Solo Sae has built a reputation through projects including Gahnman., Kill with Kindness and Catch 22, as well as releases such as “IMALI”. His latest message suggests that upcoming music, performances and other professional commitments may remain on hold until he is ready to return.
Fans have since shared messages of condolences and support, while respecting his request for privacy. The artist has not announced a specific timeframe for his return and has not issued any further statement at the time of publication. For now, Solo Sae appears focused on taking the time he needs to grieve the loss of his mother.
