The 2025/26 MTN FA Cup enters a crucial stage as Aduana FC, Nations FC, Medeama SC, and Dreams FC prepare for semi-final action at the Swedru Stadium, with fixtures scheduled for April 17 and April 18, 2026.

The first semi-final, set for April 17, 2026, will see Aduana FC take on Nations FC in what promises to be a tightly contested encounter. Aduana FC secured their place in the last four with a commanding 3-0 win over Techiman Liberty Youth. The Dormaa-based side have been consistent throughout the competition, including eliminating defending champions Asante Kotoko on penalties in the Round of 16 after seeing off Bechem United and Berekum Arsenal.

Nations FC, on the other hand, continue to make history in this year’s competition. The Kumasi-based side reached their first-ever FA Cup semi-final after edging Berekum Chelsea 4-3 on penalties following a goalless draw. Their journey has been defined by resilience, having recorded victories over Ebony FC, Ashantigold, and Swedru All Blacks to reach this stage.

Recent league meetings between the two sides underline how evenly matched they are. Nations FC claimed a 1-0 win at home in their most recent encounter, while Aduana FC had earlier secured a similar 1-0 victory on their own turf, setting the stage for another closely fought battle.

The second semi-final, scheduled for April 18, 2026, will feature Medeama SC against Dreams FC in a clash of form and experience. Medeama SC advanced after a dominant 3-0 extra-time victory over Attram De Visser, with Kelvin Nkrumah scoring a sensational hat-trick to seal qualification.

Their campaign has been impressive so far, having recorded wins over Rospak FC and Bibiani GoldStars before eliminating FC Samartex 1996 on penalties. As two-time FA Cup champions (2013 and 2015) and current Ghana Premier League leaders, Medeama carry both form and experience into the semi-finals.

Dreams FC booked their place after a dramatic 4-3 penalty shootout win over Heart of Lions following a 1-1 draw in regulation time. Suraj Seidu’s stoppage-time equalizer forced the shootout, where Dreams held their nerve to progress. The former FA Cup winners (2023) have once again shown their strength in knockout football and will be confident heading into the semi-final also after meeting lower tier sides Semper Fi, Asanska FC and Inter Allies FC.

Meetings between Medeama SC and Dreams FC this season have been closely contested, with both sides winning one game each, each securing a 2-1 victory at home. With little separating them, the tie is expected to be another intense and competitive showdown.

With all four teams showing quality, resilience, and ambition, the semi-finals at the Swedru Stadium promise to deliver exciting football as they battle for a place in the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup final.
