Air Peace completes 3rd South Africa evacuation, brings home 268 Nigerians

Air Peace has successfully completed its third humanitarian evacuation mission from South Africa, safely airlifting 268 Nigerian nationals back home in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The special evacuation flight was operated with the airline’s Boeing 777-200 wide-body aircraft, once again deploying Air Peace’s long-haul capabilities in support of the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and voluntary return of Nigerians affected by the recent xenophobic tensions in South Africa.

With the successful completion of today’s operation, Air Peace has now safely evacuated a total of 801 Nigerians across three humanitarian missions, following the airlift of 262 Nigerians on June 11, 271 on June 30, and 268 on July 3. The milestone further reinforces the airline’s unwavering commitment to national service and its readiness to respond swiftly whenever Nigerians require assistance beyond the country’s borders.

Beyond connecting destinations, Air Peace continues to connect Nigerians with hope, family and the reassurance of home during moments of uncertainty. The latest evacuation once again underscores the airline’s enduring partnership with the Federal Government in delivering timely humanitarian interventions and safeguarding the welfare of Nigerian citizens.

The successful mission further strengthens Air Peace’s legacy as Nigeria’s leading humanitarian airline.

Since commencing operations, the carrier has undertaken more than sixteen humanitarian and evacuation missions across Africa and beyond, deploying its aircraft and operational expertise in response to crises, emergency repatriations and national interventions.
