Virgin Atlantic plans to increase its Johannesburg–London flights from seven to ten a week from mid-December 2026, alongside a return to daily Airbus A350-1000 operations from 25 October. The changes coincide with the airline’s 30th anniversary of serving South Africa. The additional frequencies will provide more departure options during South Africa’s summer travel season and are scheduled to continue until late March 2027, according to clarification supplied by the airline’s media representative.
