Kabelo Mabalane Announces Two “For King & Country” Live Shows In December. The kwaito legend has announced that his one-man show, For King & Country, will take over Teatro Montecasino on 15 and 16 December 2026. Backed by a 16-piece live music ensemble, Mabalane is set to deliver a musical experience that revisits his celebrated catalogue while introducing audiences to a new chapter in his artistry.
Sharing the announcement in a video posted on X, the artist and pastor revealed that the performances will feature new music alongside reimagined versions of his classic hits and other iconic songs that helped shape South African music. The shows are presented in partnership with Johannesburg radio station Kaya 959, with music, life and faith at the heart of the experience.

His return follows the release of his comeback single, For King and Country, which also serves as the title of his forthcoming album.
The project introduces what Mabalane describes as “Street Psalms,” a musical expression that brings his kwaito foundations into conversation with contemporary worship, urban soul and other influences. It reflects the different chapters of his life, connecting the sound that made him a household name with the faith and purpose that now shape his journey.
Kaya 959, which welcomed Mabalane to its breakfast show for the project’s launch, has positioned the upcoming concerts as a celebration of three decades of a culture-defining musical catalogue.
