Kane Keid Drops ‘LELO’ Music Video Ahead Of ‘Take Time’ Release. Kane Keid has released the official music video for “LELO,” adding another visual chapter to the rollout of his upcoming debut album, SON OF SOiL.
The Thembisa-born rapper and songwriter, whose real name is Lonwabo Nkhoesa, announced the release on Instagram while also revealing that his next track, “Take Time,” is arriving this Friday.
“LELO” was originally released on 12 June 2026 as Keid’s first official single of the year. The music video, directed and shot by By Some Idiot Studios, premiered on Channel O on Monday, 5 October, before becoming available online.
The visual treatment places Keid at the centre of the story, drawing from the artist’s Thembisa roots and continuing the creative direction introduced through his SON OF SOiL (RESET) visual.
Produced by Malume LiieLow, “LELO” combines melodic moments with Keid’s introspective approach to songwriting. The track forms part of the wider campaign leading into SON OF SOiL, following the release of the SON OF SOiL (RESET) introduction and the surprise four-track NOTE2SELF EP, which features Issi and Shannon.
Kane Keid is already looking ahead to Friday, with “Take Time” set to arrive on 9 October. The upcoming collaboration features Sino Msolo and Ficz and is expected to explore a more reflective side of the rapper’s artistry.
The release continues a journey that has seen Keid build his profile through freestyles, live performances and projects such as the critically noted Not Famous EP. His early work also attracted attention from international music figures including Timbaland and will.i.am.
With “LELO” now accompanied by an official visual and “Take Time” only days away, Kane Keid is steadily building toward the next phase of the SON OF SOiL rollout.
“LELO” is available to stream now, while “Take Time” drops Friday, 9 October 2026.
