Nadia Nakai & Toss Set To Drop Joint EP “Do’s and Dont’s” Nadia Nakai and Toss are officially joining forces for a new collaborative project, with the South African rap heavyweight and Amapiano star set to release their joint EP, Do’s and Dont’s, on September 18.
Nadia Nakai broke the news on Instagram, confirming that she and Toss will deliver the project later this month while urging fans to secure their pre-saves. “ANNOUNCEMENT @indabakabani and I are dropping our EP called ‘Do’s and Dont’s’ on the 18th OF SEPTEMBER!! ❤️🔥 PRE-SAVE NOW!” she wrote.
The announcement comes after months of growing attention around the pair, whose public interactions have repeatedly sparked conversation among fans. Their chemistry has been particularly noticeable across social media, where their collaborations and shared moments have fuelled plenty of speculation about the nature of their relationship. Nadia has previously spoken about some of the speculation, making it clear that her earlier connections with Toss were rooted in their creative work while also asserting her freedom to embrace new chapters in her life.
Musically, Do’s and Dont’s brings together two artists who represent different but increasingly connected sides of South Africa’s contemporary sound. Nadia brings her established hip-hop presence and commanding rap style, while Toss adds the infectious Amapiano energy that has helped establish him as one of the genre’s notable voices.
The project also arrives at a time when collaborations between hip-hop and Amapiano artists continue to blur the lines between the country’s biggest genres. For Nadia and Toss, the EP provides an opportunity to turn the attention surrounding their partnership into a body of work that stands on its own.
The title Do’s and Dont’s adds another layer of intrigue, suggesting a project built around rules, relationships, chemistry and the unpredictable energy that has surrounded the duo.
