QUETTA: Two terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in Washuk district of Balochistan, security sources said on Monday.
According to the sources, the operation was carried out in the Palantak area of Washuk as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH).
The two terrorists killed in the operation were involved in attacks on the Mashkhel Police Station and the Customs House, the sources said.
The terrorists’ vehicle was also destroyed during the operation, while a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the site, according to security sources.
The sources further stated that the recovered weapons and ammunition were intended for use in targeted killings of civilians and further terrorist activities in Balochistan.

Security forces will continue operations against militants in the province until the threat is eliminated, the sources added.

Earlier, the Balochistan government announced rewards of up to Rs1.5 million for information leading to the identification or arrest of nine wanted women allegedly linked to Fitna al-Hindustan.
According to the provincial government, the women are from Gwadar, Jiwani and Turbat and are allegedly involved in activities aimed at disrupting peace and stability in the province.
The government announced a reward of Rs1 million for information leading to the identification or arrest of eight of the women, while a reward of Rs1.5 million was announced for information about Azizan.
The wanted women have been identified as Hanifan Bibi, Ayesha, Ruqayya, Hafsa, Zahra, Amina Bani, Zarmeen, Iqra and Azizan.
Authorities alleged that the women were involved in activities aimed at creating unrest in Balochistan and were being used to influence and recruit other women for such activities.
The government urged citizens with credible information about the wanted individuals to share it with the relevant authorities.
