Prime Video has officially dropped the first teaser trailer for Vought Rising, and it already looks like one of the most stylish and twisted entries in The Boys universe yet. The upcoming prequel series takes fans back to the 1950s to explore the origins of Vought International, the early days of Compound V, and the rise of some of the franchise’s most dangerous Supes.
The teaser gives fans their first real look at Jensen Ackles returning as Soldier Boy alongside Aya Cash reprising her role as Stormfront, though this time under her original identity, Clara Vought. The footage leans heavily into noir aesthetics, complete with smoky bars, shadowy alleyways, old-school propaganda imagery, and brutal violence that feels ripped straight from a dark detective thriller.
According to series creator Eric Kripke, Vought Rising is being described as “L.A. Confidential with superheroes,” blending murder mystery storytelling with the morally corrupt world fans have come to expect from The Boys.
The internet reaction has been overwhelmingly positive so far, with many fans praising the trailer’s retro atmosphere and calling it a refreshing change from the increasingly crowded superhero landscape. Others are already hyping Ackles’ return as Soldier Boy, who continues to be one of the franchise’s most popular characters.
