Dayo Adeyeye, the National Chairman of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), has said President Bola Tinubu’s performance in office would secure his victory in the 2027 Presidential election.
Adeyeye, who spoke at the launch of SWAGA 2.0 and campaign rally for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), said the President had exceeded expectations since assuming office.
According to him, “I’m so sure, by the grace of God, that Bola Tinubu will win the second term. He will win in all the 36 states of Nigeria in the 2027 presidential election because he has performed beyond expectations.”
The former Minister of Works said the achievements of the Tinubu administration were a fulfilment of the promises made by SWAGA when it mobilised support for him before the 2023 election.
He said the education sector had witnessed stability, noting that “there has been no strike in our tertiary institutions for four years,” adding that the situation was different before now.
Adeyeye also highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects, saying the country was witnessing what he described as a revolution, including the construction of concrete roads with long lifespans and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
He urged Osun residents to support the APC governorship candidate, saying President Tinubu’s achievements and leadership style had strengthened the party’s appeal ahead of the 2027 elections.
Tunde Olatunji, a former lawmaker in the State, who spoke on behalf of the Osun APC Governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, said the APC administration would replicate the developmental initiatives of the Federal Government in Osun State within six months if elected.
“AMBO is not interested in fighting anybody. What is on the ground is not a fight but a determination to provide better governance for the people of Osun State,” Olatunji said.
Hon. Hulayat Omidiran, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, said Oyebamiji possessed the experience and competence required to lead Osun State, adding that he would promote economic growth, create employment opportunities, improve infrastructure and provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
